With the great philosopher of Kashmir, Acharya Abhinavagupta, completing 1000 years of communion, Jammu Kashmir Study Centre together with other organizations will celebrate this momentous occasion throughout the year. The millennium celebrations are to be launched formally on February 13^th 2016 at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. Sri Sri Ravi Shankar will preside over the function.

A press conference prior to the event was organized in the Indian Women Press Club at New Delhi. Padam Shri Sh. Jawaharlal Kaul, president of Jammu Kashmir Study Centre and Swami Paramtej of Art of Living, along with representatives of supporting organizations, had briefed the media about the importance of the event on Abhinavagupta. Representatives from Ishwar Ashram, Jammu Kashmir People forum and Jammu Kashmir Vichar Manch have also briefed media about the yearlong plan of celebrations.
